	John has been painting and drawing for many years and has recently included Vintage,Classic and modern vehicles subjects to his extensive range of work. Resulting in being accepted as an associate of The Guild of Motoring Artists John's favorite medium is graphite and coloured pencils; he gets great satisfaction in producing photo-realistic images of Famous Marques such as Jaguar, Mercedes,Ford, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Morris, Bentley, Bugatti etc in this classic pencil format. Each drawing takes many hours to complete because of the attention to highlights, contrast, reflections and nut and bolt detail. The end result is a piece of very satisfying artwork both for himself and his clients. Between drawing portraits of cars, pets and people for his clients, he has put together a collection of celebrity portraits including Cliff Richard, Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Madonna, Johnny Depp and many others. Motoring magazines in the UK and in the USA have used his work. It is used on greetings cards and various other merchandise sold in Shops Museums and other outlets throughout the UK. 	All about John	John was a war baby, born in Dartford Kent in the 1940s. Having dabbled in art since his school days, using many different mediums he taught himself to become quite a proficient artist. Between raising a family of 3 boys and working as a precision engineer for over 40 years, he gained great pleasure in producing pencil portraits for friends and family and the odd commission. More recently he has turned his hand to drawing classic, vintage and modern cars, refining his technique to try and achieve the photo realism he believes is required to present the car in its true form. His efforts paid off when he was recently elected as an associate of the GUILD OF MOTORING ARTISTS. His work and his prints are sold in Motor Museums and shops and have been used by motoring magazines in the UK and the USA. Johns preferred medium for his automobile art is coloured pencil, now fast becoming more and more acceptable in the fine art world. He has developed a technique enabling him to achieve a realistic show room just waxed and polished look to his cars. He has recently become a member of The UK Coloured Pencil Society.
