Description
| Although the Austin-Healey 3000 Mark III, was produced in 1964 the first 3000 model was launched in 1959 and the models before that go back to 1952 when the Austin Healey 100 was first introduced. For HIRE details of this superb example from 1965 see www.vintage-classics.co.uk Based on the original 50’s design the Austin Healey 3000 MK III was launched in 1964 with a proper convertible hood and the added luxury of wind up windows. But the style of the 60’s had made it look old fashioned and by 1967 it was replaced by the more modern looking MGC. Today the ‘Big Healey’ just oozes character from every curve on its muscular bodywork. |

Modifications
| Vintage Classics has the most popular of all the Big Healey’s to offer, a 1965 Austin Healey MK III also known as the BJ8. This model is more civilised with a softer ride, walnut dashboard, wind-up windows and the all so important hood that only takes a few minutes for one person to put up. However that 50’s style still remains making the drive a truly memorable and fun experience. Driving this car provides the opportunity to wind the clock back and experience 50’s / 60’s motoring at its best, you really have to drive this car to understand its character. |
