According to the Mesothelioma & Asbestos Awareness Center automotive company employees, garage mechanics and car enthusiasts have an increased cancer risk. Asbestos was used in a number of automobile parts, particularly in brakes. Auto mechanics and car enthusiasts who may have worked on asbestos-containing automobile parts may have been exposed and face an increased risk of developing mesothelioma cancer.
